Engineering Applications

A diverse range of industries are supplied with our components, some of which form the vital solution to their engineering problems. Our products are utilised in fastening materials, maneuvering goods and lifting heavy equipment, maintenance and repair, machine tooling and workholding components used in production. Below are listed key product areas indicating some of the most common applications used by our customers.

Fasteners and Hardware

Kwik-Lok and Quick Release Pins - The pins are used to quickly fasten material together. They can either hold on a simple spring release or using the Ball Lock method for a stronger hold. Available in 5 handle styles, inch or metric sizes, and in carbon steel and stainless steel.
Lanyards - They tether the pins at a suitable length to another piece of material so they cannot move too far from where they are being used.

Material Handling

Hoist Rings / Eyebolts / Lifting Hooks - All of these lifting products can be attached to heavy individual materials or final products for easy manoeuvre. All of our hoist rings are 200% proof load tested and certified.
Chain Slings - These slings are used to spread the load of a product through the lifting device, the percentage varies on the angle used.

Tooling Components

Tooling Balls - These tooling balls provide a precise reference point for critical machining operations. They are available with slip fit or light press fit shank diameters.
Spring Plungers - Unlike conventional spring plungers these ‘solid drive' plungers are made from one integral piece of steel. There is no separate set screw from plunger body, meaning when you are adjusting the solid drive you can be sure the spring plunger is turning and not just a set screw. We also provide a ‘shortie' style spring plunger. A screwdriver slot is substituted for the hex drive due to the smaller size.

Workholding Components

Ball Lock Mounting System - The Ball Lock Mounting System is designed to speed accurate locating and locking of fixture plates and subplates. The system consists of: a Locating Shank, a Liner Bushing and a Receiver Bushing. Using the Ball Lock Mounting System is a simple three step process. Install receiver bushings in your machine table or subplate and liner bushings in your fixture plate. Then insert the locating shanks through the liners and into the receivers to provide accurate location. A couple of turns of the set screw in each of the locating shanks provides a positive holding force.
Rod Ends - Rod Ends are forged and finished for applications not requiring flat contact with the head. All holes are reamed. Rod Ends can be used with spherical flange assemblies, flange nuts and clamp assemblies.

Maintenance, Repair and Operation

Threaded Inserts - Keylocking Threaded Inserts are used to quickly repair stripped, damaged or worn out threads with new stronger threads. The ‘Keys' are driven down into the threads of the surrounding base material, locking the insert in place. They work in the same way as ‘Helicoil's' but are made from one solid piece of material.
Hydraulic Nuts - Our hydraulic nuts replace conventional torque loaded thread fastenings. A pressurised thrust ring is pushed against the counterface to produce an axial clamping force. They can be used to rapidly, precisely or securely clamp tools and components or to pre-tension bolts and tie rods.
